CT
Computed Aided Tomography (CT) remains an
impressive diagnostic tool for physicians. CT provides
highly detailed and accurate image that will allow a
better understanding of conditions within your body.
CT uses an array of small x-ray scanners to send a
3-dimensional view of the area being scanned to a
computer for processing. The computer displays this
data as “slices”, which allow the radiologist to
review the scanned area sequentially..
ABOUT THE EXAM
The procedure may be performed with or without
a contrast agent, as requested by your physician.
All CT exams are performed by a CT Technologist
and interpreted by Board Certified Radiologists.
During the exam, you will be positioned on a table
that slowly moves through the scanner creating the
3-dimensional images.
THE PACS ADVANTAGE
PACS is a powerful tool to expedite diagnosis and
electronically deliver images to physician offices.
Our Picture Archive Communications System (PACS)
is an exciting new technological advantage for you
and your physician. This technology allows our
radiologists to view your MRI images digitally and
perform real-time consults with radiologists at other
locations, as well as allowing your physician access
to images in his or her office.

WHEN YOU CALL
When you make your appointment, we will make sure
you understand when to arrive, the type of exam, how
long it should take and what, if any, preparations you
will need to make.
CT & INSURANCE
Please bring your insurance cards to the appointment.
Prior to the exam, you and your physician’s
office should confirm insurance coverage and
any pre-certification requirements.
