Computed Aided Tomography (CT) remains an
impressive diagnostic tool for physicians. CT provides
highly detailed and accurate image that will allow a
better understanding of conditions within your body.
CT uses an array of small x-ray scanners to send a
3-dimensional view of the area being scanned to a
computer for processing. The computer displays this
data as “slices”, which allow the radiologist to
review the scanned area sequentially..
The procedure may be performed with or without
a contrast agent, as requested by your physician.
All CT exams are performed by a CT Technologist
and interpreted by Board Certified Radiologists.
During the exam, you will be positioned on a table
that slowly moves through the scanner creating the
